AND APPARENTLY, I'M THE SMARTEST GIRL IN THE SCHOOL?

I did manage to finish that paper I talked about in my last post. I think I finished around 1:30AM on the morning it was due. XD I could've finished a lot earlier, but I didn't want to work on it. At least that was the last work I had to do for my Junior year! Next week is exam week, but I'm exempt from all of mine so I don't have to go to school at all. I'm looking forward to it. I do have to go Friday, though. I've got to practice for graduation. I'm one of the Junior Marshalls.

And Thursday at the athletic banquet, I officially became the smartest female athlete in the school. I got a really big trophy, too. I'm not sure what my average is, though. They didn't say.

Today was Baccalaureate (sp?), and I got to old the hands of the two little mascots during the whole service. They were so cute! They had pads of paper and pens to keep themselves entertained. The little boy was whispering to me about what he was drawing the whole time. He even drew me a picture, though I have yet to figure out exactly what it is. The little girl, however, drew a tornado (she spelled it trnadoe) which was destroying our school and two poor stick people. It was slightly disturbing to say the least.

I hope my dress is going to get clean. The girl Marshalls all have to wear white dresses both for Baccalaureate and Graduation. Of course about ten minutes after I changed my clothes, I found my black cat lying on it and getting his hair all over it. Darn cats.

This entry is getting kind of long. I'll talk about Busch Gardens tomorrow or something. It was an interesting trip to say the least. ;) (And perhaps I shall give my input on the Gossip Girl finale, too.)

FOR NARNIA!

My friends and I saw Prince Caspian yesterday! I thought it was pretty good. I wasn't confused at all, which is a good thing. I read the whole Chronicles of Narnia series, but that was over six years ago in fifth grade. So, naturally, I remember very little of it and what I do remember of the series all runs together. (I also read The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy that year. I don't know how I understood any of LotR when I was that young. XD)

The most interesting part of the whole thing wasn't the movie, it was actually getting there and back. One of my friends was driving and, well, she'd probably lose her head if my friends and I weren't there to help her find it. It's supposed to take about 45 minutes to get to the place we saw the movie at. We got there in about that time. We only had a few minor setbacks; forgetting how to merge into lanes of traffic, making u-turns instead of going left, that sort of thing. However, it took us TWO HOURS to get back home. Two hours! She wasn't allowed to go on the interstate (which happened to be the only way my other friend, Ashley, and I knew) and she knew how to get there, but she didn't know how to get back. It was terrible. I fear for her when she goes to college. Ashley and I just ended up in fits of hysteric laughter everytime Lindsey messed up. She got so mad at us. It was kind of funny... but then again, it wasn't.

Oh, and I've got a question for those on my f-list from H_E. I made some icons from that hilarious mad libs in the main community, but I want to know if I am allowed to post them there? I didn't see anything in the rules against it, but I'm just making sure that it's not some "unwritten rule" or something. I'll post them here if I can't there.

I'm so glad to have you all on my f-list! I think my userinfo says most of the stuff you need to know about me and most of my entries will be public. I'm sorry that I haven't had time to post much lately and I probably won't be posting frequently until I get out of school in a couple of weeks.

Speaking of school, today was clean-up day for one of the clubs (it's for students with an overall average of 90 and above or something close to that) at my school. We didn't have to go to any of our classes. We all had to go to all the different rooms and do what the teachers asked us. We all finished pretty fast, though my friend and I did have a couple of accidents when we were cleaning the room we were assigned. My friend, Ashley, somehow knocked a bottle of windex off the top of a ladder and it poured all over the floor. It was a mess. Then, a trash bag was stuck inside one of the trashcans and I spent about ten minutes making a fool of myself trying to get it out. XD I bet it was pretty funny to watch.

The best part about clean up day is that after the cookout we have for lunch, everyone is basically done cleaning. We don't tell our sponser that, of course. Last year, a bunch of us hid out in the library (it sucks and it's ancient; no one ever uses it, so it's a good hide out) and that resulted in one boy breaking his hand. He and another boy were sword fighting with some pieces from the card catalogue thing or something. This year we stayed on the playground and played kickball with the little kids. (My school is Preschool through Twelth.) It was fun and, well, most of them were cute.

Next week we're going to Busch Gardens. I can't wait for that.

Oh, any of you see this weeks Gossip Girl? I thought it was pretty good. I wait until next week's season finale. It better be good.

RANT OF RAGE

I am so mad right now. My mom is an idiot. Okay, so I'm in my room and my mom comes to the door. She demands for me to give her my report card. She always does this and I'll never understand why. I don't have anything to hide and I make straight A's, so I don't get why she acts like freaking life depends on seeing it. Well, I don't have it with me. It's in my car and I don't really feel like going to get in now. So I tell I'll go get it later. Then she gives me this huge picture frame with a picture of my class at the prom in it. I tell her that I don't have anywhere to put it. (I really don't. Every surface in my room is covered with junk.) Then I tell her I don't even really want it and I close the door.

I go back to whatever I was doing before thinking it's over, but then ten minutes later I hear her storming up the stairs. I go to the door and she starts yelling at me for "backtalking" her. (I absolutely hate when people use that phrase. What does it even mean? What, I can't simply state the sky is blue after an adult says it's purple or something. The concept of it is stupid.) Then she starts yelling at me because I apparently wasted the, oh I don't know, five minutes of her time that it took to put that picture in the frame. Hello, it's not like I asked her to. After she gets tired of yelling at me, she pushes me and I nearly fall into the bathtub. (There's a bathroom between my room and the hall.) Then she makes me go to my car and get my stupid report card, following behind me about two feet and yelling my ear off the whole way. Then she makes me fold freakin' clothes. It's not the worst thing ever, but it's so stupid and boring. I'm surprised I'm being left alone long enough to type this. Right now she's probably ranting to my dad (who was sitting in his chair watching tv the whole time) about it, but she'll probably be up here yelling at me again in ten minutes. She's so annoying.

When she gets mad, she'll start yelling and yelling and when she runs out of things to yell at me about from what I'd just done, she starts yelling at me for things I'd done weeks ago. It's so annoying. Especially in the car because I can't do anything, but sit there while she yells and cusses at me for twenty minutes straight. If I even so much as breath wrong, she'll start yelling at me for that too.

I can't wait until I go off to college. I'm moving as far as I possibly can from here. Hopefully, I'll be able to do a semester abroad in college. I don't even know if halfway around the world would be far enough away, though. Only 206 more school days until I graduate high school. I don't think it could possibly come soon enough.

AND THEN THEY MADE ME THEIR CHEIF

Guess what? My contacts hate me again! They better get right soon because Prom's next week, unfortunately. My whole Junior class has been working on it for the last week. I was there the whole day yesterday. I never again want to spend over twelve hours straight at school. I was so bored. Most of us just ended up sitting around talking half the time.

I saw I Am Legend the other day. It was actually pretty good. Not what I expected, but still good. I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

YOUR MY KNIGHT IN SHINING WHATEVER

I finished the paper. Thank God. School was boring the last couple days and I had a bad day today. Well, it wasn't neccessarily bad, but nothing good happened. At all.

And, I got sorted into Gryffindor at sorting_elite! Whoo! Everyone I've met in the common room so far has been really nice.

Oh, and more somewhat bad news. My aunt (mom's sister) and my uncle are separated. I doesn't bother me much. I never really liked him and he was kind of mean, but I feel sorry for my cousin. He just turned nine, today actually.

And, I've developed a strange liking for country music lately. It's kind of weird.

Ack, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been away from home with limited access to the internets. ;__;

And I was planning on doing that cute!puppy picspam, but, alas, my camera and my computer apparently don't like each other very much. It's just not working. I think there's something wrong with my computer's USB ports, 'cuz my iPod hasn't been working right with my computer either. My computer and iTunes don't even recognize that my iPod is plugged in. Darnit. That means I have to go somewhere to get it fixed. Always something wrong with this stupid computer.

If I ever get it to work, I will post the pictures!

HECK YES

So, I guess everyone's that cares has heard by now. The Deathly Hallows movie going to be split into two movies. Personally, I'm happy about it. But it seems by looking through some posts and comments over at harry_potter that this fandom is too hard to please. They complain when too much is cut from the movie and now there complaining that the movie's been split so very little will have to be cut. I just don't understand some people.

And I actually had a really good day today. There were only four people in my last class today, so the teacher let us out about 20 minutes early. Heck yes. After that one of my friends and I went to see my other friend's new puppy. It was so cute!

Get ready for some major puppy picspam after I get the pictures uploaded! >:D

THE WORST THING ABOUT PRISON WAS THE DEMENTORS

My contacts are continuing to wage war on my eyes. I really wish we could come to a peace treaty already. I'm tired of wearing my glasses all the time. Everyone keeps asking me if I just got them. NO. I did not just get them. I have needed glasses and/or contacts since I was in second grade. That's nine years people. Nine. It's not like I've been to different school. Ever. I've been at this same school for nearly thirteen years. Ya'd think we'd know everything about each other by now. So short answer is no, I didn't just get them, my contacts just hate me at the moment.

There have been some interesting moments at school this week, none of which I could explain coherently.

Also, I <3 The Office and Steve Carrell may be my new favorite comedian.

PROCRASTINATORS UNITE! ...LATER

Today was... weird. I drove to school, practically blind in one eye because my contacts decided they hated me this morning. I only had my right one in and I took that one out in exchange for my glasses when I got to school. I had equal vision, but I felt weird. I don't think I've ever worn my glasses the whole school day before. I hope my contacts and get along better tomorrow morning. I hate having to push my glasses back up the bridge of my nose every five minutes.

After finishing The Office, I have moved on to Grey's Anatomy. It's alright. I prefer The Office, but I'm starting to get really bored and I need something to watch while I procrastinate doing my homework. I wish April would come sooner. I need new shows. All I've got is Lost now. I don't like this new season of Lost either. Bring back Charlie, darnit!

Also, WHEN IS NEW AVATAR COMING? There hasn't been a new episode in forever and the US still hasn't caught up with Canada. Need. Avatar. NOW.

MORE FRENCH CANADIANS

The French-Canadians came! They were pretty awesome. I figured out that they were actually from Quebec and apparently Quebec's main language is French, so they knew limited English. I could barely understand half of what they were saying. It didn't sound like it, but according to them they were speaking very slowly. I don't think I'd be able to catch anything that they were saying if they were talking at a normal speed. Wednesday (the day they came) was an all-around good day. The French-Canadians took up all of our French class and part of Pre-Calculus.

Yesterday, I was sick though. Boo. I didn't do anything all day. I just slept and watched tv all day.

JE M'APPELLE BELLA

Monday's suck. I'm so tired. I didn't get to sleep late this weekend. Weekends are when I catch up on all the sleep I missed during the week. I really really kind of want to fake sick tomorrow, but I don't think I can. Darn it. I'll just have to suffer through the whole rest of the week.

At least something somewhat interesting is happening on Wednesday. A French Canadian (I'm not sure if that means he's French and moved to Canada or if he just lives in Canada and speaks French) is coming to speak to my French class. I have no idea why. I certainly hope he didn't come all the way down here just to have a nice little chat with the thirty or so of us. It's not that big and it's probably going to be just as boring as our regular French class, but at least it's something different.

Alas, no interesting anecdotes today. Sorry.

*Edit: I'm not really feeling ditzy, but I like that mood picture. :P

WE IS SIMPLE COUNTRY FOLK, LEAVE US BE

Yeah, so I haven't updated in a while. It's been a long week.

I took the SAT yesterday. I was pretty much useless for the whole rest of the day. I hate the SAT. I had to get up at 5:45AM, drive ten minutes to my friends house for a carpool, drive 45 more minutes to the school where we took the test, and then the test started almost an hour late! At least we got there early enough to go to Bojangles for breakfast. I love Bojangles. <3

I have come to the realization that the people who go to my school are idiots. The SAT isn't offered at my school, so we had to go to a different school. There were about ten of us from my school. Anyway, right before we took the test, someone made an announcement over the PA system. Now my stupid school doesn't have a PA system, so it was a little strange for us simple country folk. However, one of the guys from my school thought it was a message from God. He also mentioned something about terrorists. I'm willing to bet he didn't make a very high score on the test.

I also saw Juno this week! I really liked it. It was funny and cute at the same time. I want it to come out on DVD soon, so I can see it again.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. I've had a busy week. I think I'm sick. I've had a cold forever, but this week it's gotten really bad. I wanted to see Jumper this weekend, but I don't think I'll be able to. Oh well, there's always next weekend I suppose.

Have any of you heard of sorting_elite?
ITUNES IS A PIECE OF CRAP

I just finished the third season of The Office and so not wanting to end The Office-a-thon I've been on for the past couple of weeks, I went to buy the fourth season from iTunes. But low and behold, iTunes is being a douchebag and doesn't have The Office. I know they had it before because I've bought a couple of episodes from there. Grr, it makes me mad.

In other unrelated matters, my neighbor was walking her dog in a baby carriage this afternoon. She's an odd one... Also, one of my teachers fussed me out because I... touched the blinds? He's so weird. Just thought I'd share those two little anecdotes with you. XD

Finally, quote of the week:

"Why settle for just style or just comfort when sweater vests offer the best of both worlds?"

It's from a paper I wrote about sweater vests for my English class this week. We have to write a two page paper every week about an opinion we have on something. My English teacher wears sweater vests everyday and he grades very subjectively, so I figured I'd write about his favorite piece of clothing.

I've been inspired today and so I've decided to start a quote of the week thing. I'll think I'm going to make an icon out of each one and have a master list of them all or something

This week's quote:

"We can't always win.
MMM... HOT CHOCOLATE

Today was pretty awesome. I wasn't late for school. I got an A+ on a paper I wrote about hot chocolate. I got a 100 on a test in English. I finished designing the junior page for this year's annual. Yup, all in all a pretty good day. Plus, there's a new Lost tonight.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be just as good, but I somehow doubt it. There's no such thing as two good days in a row.
